New Hope International Fellowship Yokohama isÉ A Protestant church that has been sent off in prayer to Yokohama from New Hope International Fellowship Tokyo on March of 2004, with itÕs Grand Opening as a church on June of the same year.
Senior Pastor of New Hope Yokohama, Pastor Toru Majima had studied in New Hope Christian Fellowship Oahu as an intern for 3 years, and came home to Japan to start New Hope Tokyo with Pastor Talo Sataraka. Under Pastor TaloÕs leadership, Pastor Toru helped the church as the Youth Pastor, which soon grew to a church with regular attendance of 300 people in 4 years.
With the dream of making a fun and lively church, a church filled with GodÕs love like New Hope Oahu and Tokyo, Pastor Toru started New Hope Yokohama. Services are bilingual, English and Japanese, and messages from the Bible are easy to relate to. Our creative church services consist of contemporary worship, drama, hula, and more.
We believe that all people are valuable to God, and want to be a church where we share JesusÕ love and forgiveness in Yokohama.

At New Hope one of the things you’ll hear a lot is, “It’s all about the heart.†We believe that the heart with which we do anything is far more important than performance or perfection.
Why? Because the Lord looks upon the heart. He knows that if we do things with all of our heart, we’ve given it our all. Oh sure, we may not have done it perfectly; maybe we haven’t even done it very well. But we’ve given our heart! “How’s your heart?â€
At New Hope, we often ask that of ourselves. And we constantly strive to answer it by reflecting Jesus with all of our heart. Because when it comes down to it, it’s all about the heart!

Our mission statement reflects that vision: “The purpose of New Hope is to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ in such a way that turns non-Christians into converts, converts into disciples, and disciples into mature, fruitful leaders, who will in turn go into the world and reach others for Christ.â€
