New Hope International Fellowship Yokohama isÉ A Protestant church that has been sent off in prayer to Yokohama from New Hope International Fellowship Tokyo on March of 2004, with itÕs Grand Opening as a church on June of the same year. Senior Pastor of New Hope Yokohama, Pastor Toru Majima had studied in New Hope Christian Fellowship Oahu as an intern for 3 years, and came home to Japan to start New Hope Tokyo with Pastor Talo Sataraka. Under Pastor TaloÕs leadership, Pastor Toru helped the church as the Youth Pastor, which soon grew to a church with regular attendance of 300 people in 4 years. With the dream of making a fun and lively church, a church filled with GodÕs love like New Hope Oahu and Tokyo, Pastor Toru started New Hope Yokohama. Services are bilingual, English and Japanese, and messages from the Bible are easy to relate to. Our creative church services consist of contemporary worship, drama, hula, and more. We believe that all people are valuable to God, and want to be a church where we share JesusÕ love and forgiveness in Yokohama.

Through the Alpha Course we want people to be able to explore the meaning of life in a relaxed and friendly setting. The Alpha course usually meets once per week for 10 weeks, and includes an amazing one-day or weekend getaway.

Each session, people enjoy great food, laughter and learning in a fun and friendly atmosphere where no question about life or God is seen as too simple or too hostile…questions like ? The goal of the Children's Ark Ministry is to share the gospel with children and to build loving relationships with them so that they can grow in the knowledge and grace of Jesus Christ. Classes are divided into 2 groups, ages 3-6 and 7-12. Children's Ark is only held during the first worship service (12:30 - 14:00).

Dance Ministry

We have a passion for dancing and want to use Hula, Creative Sign Dance and Jazz Hip Hop to touch people’s heart with the love of God.  We want to worship and serve God through dancing and, by experiencing HIS love and mercy, grow in our own faith.


Decoration Ministry

We want to make each location worthy of the presence of our holy God and to welcome with love those who come to worship God. We are trying to create a warm atmosphere according to the season and to underline the theme of special events.

We mostly use aloha cloth and plastic flowers, but there is no limit to creativity! If you have an eye for good colors and like to work with large pieces of cloth this is the ministry for you! It`s not limited to women alone; men are as well very welcomed!
